Her nine-book series, Grit, Gamble & Grace, follows Jerome "Redbone" Blake from the bolita lottery floors of early Miami through three decades of power, corruption, and consequence. The series draws on buried histories of Black communities, gambling syndicates, and the ruthless land deals that built modern South Florida.
